You would think making small earrings would be more profitable for me, nope.
Here’s why.

Doing Tiny Earrings

See the width of the pumpkins? They can use a stud post 3mm wide. Also the finished pumpkin is pretty even front and back making it quite simple to complete. They lie pretty flat.

Now, the ghosts (white) were able to take a 3mm post as well however, not like the pumpkins, they were uneven in the front. The left side was thicker than the right side. When I tried to put the post onto the back, it would slip off before I could access the up light.

So now the bats gave me the same difficulty as the ghosts but even harder because they had to be 2mm wide posts. If I would have put a 3mm you would see it outside the bat which would look terrible.

So these bats were super small. I had a very hard time trying to get the posts to stay centred. It would either tip over on its side, or I’d try to fix it with tweezers before the lamp cured it but even the slightest move, it would tip over again.

So though I used very little resin, it took a lot longer for me to make the finished product than using more resin to make a much larger earring for example. Time is money.

To seal the post to the back of the pumpkin, I just dab a drop of UV resin on the top of the post, centre the pumpkin, then put it under my UV light. Done
