Ronald Michael Doucet - known as Uncle Roe
Mr. Ronald Michael Doucet, husband of Noreen Marie Doucet of Miramichi, NB, passed away Friday morning, November 12, 2010, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 78.
Born in Bathurst, NB, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (Mazzerolle) Doucet. He was a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces. He was a parishioner of Saint Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church in Miramichi and was a Past President of the Parish Council. He was also a life member of the Duplicate Bridge Club.
Besides his wife Noreen, he is survived by three daughters, Sherry at home, Joanne (Danny Tourangeau) of Queensville, ON, and Tammy Power (Brett) of Miramichi; two sons, Danny (Jeanette) and Mark (Lynn), both of Edmonton, AB; one sister, Ursula Hyman of Montreal, QC; two brothers, Maurice (Gladys) of Riverview, NB and Lory of Belleville, ON; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters, Elsie Baldwin, Alice Kostecka, and Delphine Doucet, and four brothers, Vincent, Giles, Ralph, and Raymond Doucet.
Mr. Ronald Michael Doucet is resting at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Highway, Miramichi, NB, with visitation on Saturday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm, and Sunday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. from Saint Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Maurice Swift officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot of Saint Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery. At the request of the family, donations to Saint Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church or a memorial of one’s choice would be appreciated.
